Deb has had cats and/or dogs all of her life. She has volunteered for the local animal shelter as well as for the former Science Lab at Powell Elementary, where she worked with the students feeding and caring for ferrets, chinchillas, and a monkey-tailed skink, among other exotics and pocket pets.
Because of Dr. Doherty's volunteer work with the reptiles of the Science Lab, Deb became a client of our sister practice, Grogan's Mill Pet Clinic, in 1996. In 2004, she was offered a job as a customer service representative and veterinary assistant. Deb found the position an interesting change from prior employment as a litigation paralegal, a para-educator, and substitute librarian! She transferred from Grogan's Mill to Panther Creek Pet Clinic in 2007.
Although born and raised in upstate New York, Deb has lived in Texas for more years and considers this her home. When not taking care of her own menagerie, she enjoys time spent with family and friends, and reading for the book club she's been a part of since 1998.
